2025 Year 9 Rite Journey Excursion

Year 9 Rite Journey Excursion

Friday 21st February, our Year 9 students embarked on an exciting Rite Journey excursion, a key part of their transition from childhood to young adulthood. The day was filled with engaging activities designed to challenge, inspire, and encourage personal growth.

Students kicked off the adventure at the water park, enjoying time together and building connections outside the classroom. Following a delicious sausage sizzle, they took part in the Dessert Challenge, an exercise in decision-making and responsibility—right in the aisles of Woolworths! With a set budget and a task at hand, students had to plan and purchase their own sweet treats before heading to Woodman Point for the next stage of the journey.

The Rite Journey Program is a significant part of our Year 9 curriculum, guiding students through this pivotal stage of life. Through a series of challenges, discussions, and ceremonies over the next two years, they will explore themes of responsibility, resilience, and self-discovery.

In today’s fast-paced world, programs like The Rite Journey help bridge the gap between childhood and adulthood, recognizing this important transition and preparing students for the responsibilities ahead. We are excited to walk alongside our students on this journey and look forward to witnessing their growth.
