Year 7 Camp: Embracing New Beginnings
The first week back at school was filled with excitement as the Year 7 students embarked on an adventure camp. The transition from Primary to Secondary school is a defining moment in a student’s journey—one filled with excitement, new challenges, and opportunities for growth. Year 7 Camp provides an incredible experience for students to build resilience, form lasting friendships, and develop confidence in a supportive and engaging environment.
Over two memorable nights and three action-packed days, students participated in a variety of activities designed to encourage teamwork, problem-solving, and self-discovery. Whether tackling team challenges, learning new skills, or supporting each other through new experiences, the bonds formed during this time will stay with them well beyond the camp itself.
Set against the stunning coastal backdrop of Point Peron, students embraced a range of thrilling outdoor activities that tested their limits and strengthened their sense of adventure. They took to the waters for an unforgettable snorkeling experience, exploring the vibrant marine life beneath the waves. From there, they pushed themselves to new heights—literally—scaling rock walls with determination and perseverance. Each climb was met with cheers and encouragement, reinforcing the importance of teamwork and personal growth.
The enthusiasm, courage, and positivity displayed by this year’s Year 7 cohort were truly inspiring. This camp was more than just an adventure—it was the beginning of a new and exciting chapter in their school journey.
